“University CoWork is dedicated to providing experiences that inform and inspire entrepreneurs. Dr. King made specific statements and took specific actions from which entrepreneurs can draw lessons and apply directly to their businesses and lives,” said David C. Lubin, University CoWork Founder and CEO.
The King-Day “Dare to Dream” event featured an engaging panel of successful entrepreneurs and those who offered insights and resources to entrepreneurs. Panelists represented an array of industries and are well-known in Chicago and some nationally.

Panelist Caprice Lindsay shared her excitement about speaking to the entrepreneurs in attendance. “Entrepreneurship gives you the freedom to be who you are, to continuously evolve, to make your life experiences and community better and leave a meaningful legacy. Dr. King’s teachings are very relevant to this audience,” Lindsay said.
“Discover the Dream” concluded with networking and refreshments. The event took place at the University CoWork Chicago Office in Woodlawn / Hyde Park, was free and open to the public, and drew attendees from across Chicago (including Kenwood, Douglas, Oakland, Washington Park, Chatham, South Shore, Englewood, Grand Crossing, South Chicago, Roseland, Avalon Park, and Pullman), the southland suburbs (Homewood, Hazel Crest, Flossmoor, Dolton, Blue Island, Oak Lawn, Markham, Country Club Hills, Olympia Fields, Matteson, Chicago Heights, Alsip, Tinley Park, Orland Park, Evergreen Park, and Calumet City), and northwest Indiana (Gary, Hammond, Munster, Hobart, and Merrillville)
