“University CoWork is dedicated to providing experiences that inform and inspire entrepreneurs. Dr. King made specific statements and took specific actions from which entrepreneurs can draw lessons and apply directly to their businesses and lives,” said David C. Lubin, University CoWork Founder and CEO.

The King-Day “Dare to Dream” event featured an engaging panel of successful entrepreneurs and those who offered insights and resources to entrepreneurs. Panelists represented an array of industries and are well-known in Chicago and some nationally.

The dynamic panel included:

  • Gregory Hinton, CEO, Gregory Group Advisors, LLC and former CDO of the Democratic National Committee
  • Caprice Lindsay, AVP/Branch Manager, Hyde Park Bank, a Wintrust Community Bank
  • Mary Datcher, Founder/CEO, Global Mixx Media Group
  • Albert Demming, Executive Director, 100 Black Men of Chicago
  • Constance Simms-Kincaid, Owner/Operator, 5 Loaves Eatery
  • Larvetta L. Loftin, Founder/CEO, The L3 Agency

Panelist Caprice Lindsay shared her excitement about speaking to the entrepreneurs in attendance. “Entrepreneurship gives you the freedom to be who you are, to continuously evolve, to make your life experiences and community better and leave a meaningful legacy. Dr. King’s teachings are very relevant to this audience,” Lindsay said.
